The kitchen staff did seem entertained. The rarity of such things likely explains it.

1. This is an excellent, useful, thoughtful peek behind a curtain most of us don't get a chance to see, so thanks for sharing so candidly

2. You and Celery are bad asses

3. I don't think I've ever blown an actual noodle out of my nostril, but I know that feeling too well. And, I wish someone had run into the kitchen of a restaurant where I was working to puke! We never had anything cool like that happen, except the other cool stuff I'll eventually write about.

It's interesting how our scanxiety manifests differently for each person. I'm irritable and anxious in the week (at least) before, but once I get to 48ish hours before, it stops up until I walk into the doctor's office to get the results. I'm "stable" too, but have to switch meds again.

Man, I'm happy you're stable.

Thanks for sharing a frank and vulnerable sneak peek into your understandably anxious mind. What a ride.

Hope your next shrimp capellini manages to stick around!

You have relayed very well how a serious illness can send a person on an emotional rollercoaster ride. I can remember believing I had cancer for the third time. The specialist I was seeing assured me that the MRI revealed no tumors. I told him I was certain there were tumor/tumors. He very patiently told me again no tumors existed. I went home but it took awhile for reality to sink in as to the fact that I did not have cancer again. More than ten years have passed since that time.

Hopefully the last ten years have been calmer. It’s all such a mind job.

It sure does mess with your head, even the best of us. Most of us have loved ones who need and care for us. We don't want to leave them alone. Yes, the last ten years have been much better. Thanks.

You are stupendously strong, I fainted when I had my ears pierced yet there you are with all those tattoos- I’m in awe. I’m not making light of you situation but I honestly gauge people’s pain threshold by their ink. 💜

Lol. I will tell you this: I generally couldn’t sit for more that 90-120 minutes at a time when getting tattoos. Cancer is like that but more emotional torment and it never stops. 🤣
