My last post on the jargon cancer patients use was my first to really garner any attention and I had lots of people reach out to help on future posts related to cancer quality of life.
I love Erik Satie. Evans has similar subtle tones, but his piece is less dark (overall) than Satie's work, broadly speaking, but still more dark and gloomy than light (IMO). I hearken for another place when I hear subtle, complex works like these.
I almost included this in the list but didn’t want it to be all jazz or classical which tends to be my first go-tos when I’m seeking calm and introspection. https://youtu.be/c1NMUj0wFaE
It is odd to call Satie "calm"; I don't think of his music in that way at all. But we humans have interesting and diverse earholes next to our brain buckets. Side note: can't listen at the moment due to no sound at the gym on this PC.

Interesting arrangement that goes beyond just piano.

Calm when you consider what else I’m listening to. 🤣
Ha! I'm listening to Filth (the punk band) right now.
